If you are new to rekkerd.org sample remix contests, the idea is simple: create a track using at least one of the samples included in the sample remix download pack.

The pack includes a total of 32 samples — beats and melodic loops, in 24-bit .wav format (78 MB download).

Note that you are free to use any hardware and software you want to create your entry, and you may process the sample(s) from the remix pack as little or much as you like. Be creative!

The contest ran until April 30, 2010, after which all contestants had to pick their top 3 favorites. The top voted entry; Happy Juice by Jackie won a SilverLine Collection bundle, donated by D16 Group. To read more about the contest please go here.

During past weeks few contests of the SEMG took the place:
Brainworks : Remix Contest, Trance Athalon, 4 x 100 Freestyle Relay, IDM Relay.
As the sponsor we participated in all of them and all the winners were awarded with bundles and plug-ins from D16 Group.

D16 supports new venture started in Cologne/Germany, the Electronic Music School. They provide courses about the different music software and DAW´s like Ableton Live, Fruity Loops, Cubase, Logic etc. Furthermore they have an electronic music producer course which will take threee months. The topics are drum-composing, effect basics/advance, sound-design, syntheziser, mixdown, mastering. You'll be able to get familiar with all our products there.
